Born and now raising her own family in the Goderich area, Tanya Shepherd is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (DOMP) with 3 years experience and Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with 19 years experience focused on delivering the highest quality manual therapy services to her community. She has experiences in a clinical and rehabilitation clinic with Physiotherapists, Pilates Instructors, and Pedorthists.
Over the past 19 years, she is has taken various courses in Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy and CranioSacral Therapy. All of these courses give her more knowledge and skill to assist in helping resolve each person’s unique needs. A life-long learner, Tanya combines her desire and experiences as an RMT in the health field to pursue more extensive knowledge about the body, mind and the balance in health. Tanya is a Graduate of the 5 - Year Osteopathic Manual Program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. She is successfully defended her thesis titled “The Effect of Global Osteopathic Treatment on Eustachian Tube Dysfunction in Adults” in October 2022. Tanya continues to advance her skills with continuing eduction and strives to maintain an up-to-date, evidence based practice. She is currently studying the Biodynamic Model of Osteopathy.
Tanya is an active member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Practitioners (OAO), and is regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Tanya’s treatments vary depending on her clients’ needs. She incorporates a wide variety of traditional therapeutic techniques and modalities into her treatments to ensure the most effective and positive results. She is compassionate, kind-hearted and skilled therapist who works to help empower and encourage her clients in their healing process, providing treatments that optimizing their overall health and wellness.
